Metadata & social preview checker
See the title, description and social fields your page actually returns. Get direct evidence, an approximate search preview, and an editable snippet studio.
What this tool inspects
The checker reads the public HTML and shows the title, description, canonical, Open Graph title/description/image and available X/Twitter metadata. It reports multiple title or canonical declarations and provides character counts as editing context. The approximate search preview makes it easier to assess whether the copy explains this particular page.
How to read the result
Missing titles and descriptions are useful copy or template tasks. Multiple declarations point to a possible conflict between components or plugins. A social image declaration still needs an independent image fetch and platform preview. Use specific page copy instead of repeating the same marketing paragraph across every route. The snippet studio can generate escaped HTML for your proposed values.
Where a manual check still matters
Google may select different title links or snippets. Character counts are guidance, not ranking rules or guaranteed display limits. The tool does not render JavaScript, fetch the declared image or reproduce a platform cache. If the live values differ from your CMS fields, investigate the public template and cache before changing the wording repeatedly.
Keep useful evidence
Successful checks save a snapshot to your browser workspace. Run the same tool on the same final URL again to compare check statuses with the prior saved result. Export CSV or JSON to keep a file, or print the result as a PDF. Browser data stays on this device and does not run automatic scans.

Common questions
Does Google have to use my meta description?
No. Google may select text from the page and show a different snippet for a particular query. The preview is an editing aid.
Is this a complete website audit?
This tool answers one focused question on a bounded public response. The launch audit combines 40 checks, with a free top-three preview and paid full reports.
Does this change my website?
No. These checks fetch public information and return evidence. You decide whether to change the site and verify the result after deployment.
